Kerry McLeroy
A Fort Worth native, Kerry earned his mechanical engineering degree from Texas A&M. After initially working as an oil and gas engineer, Kerry made the change to commercial real estate in 2008. He went on to become a Professional Engineer (PE) and principal in his last firm. Kerry comes to Mako with 15 years of engineering experience. He has worked on a wide variety of projects and is active in ASHRAE and local professional development.
Alisun McLeroy
Originally from Arizona, Alisun came to Texas in 2004 as an undergraduate at Baylor University. In 2012 she moved to DFW to pursue a career in 3PL warehousing. In 2019 she earned her MBA from the University of North Texas. Shortly after, she met and married Kerry and they moved to Fort Worth. After 10 years working in logistics, Alisun is now the owner of Mako Engineering. She focuses on the financials, marketing, and administrative tasks. In her spare time, she also does drafting and plumbing design.
Kerry and Alisun are now proud parents to 2 kids and a dog. They enjoy mountain biking, traveling, and spending time together as a family.
Why are we called Mako?
The name "Mako" was chosen for our engineering company to embody the characteristics of the Mako shark, known for its exceptional speed, agility, and precision. Much like this remarkable predator, our company prides itself on delivering swift and accurate solutions and navigating complex engineering challenges with ease. The Mako shark's reputation as one of the ocean's most efficient and adaptable hunters mirrors our commitment to innovation and our ability to excel in diverse project environments. This name reflects our dedication to leading the industry with cutting-edge solutions and relentless pursuit of excellence.
